North or South |
Leave the M6 at junction 36. Take the A590 dual carriageway,
which becomes the A591, following signs for 'South
Lakes'.
At the roundabout just north of Kendal, take the first exit
- which is the B5284, signposted 'Hawkshead via Ferry and
Crook'.
Proceed down this road through the village of Crook
with the Sun Inn public House on the right hand side.
Continue through the village and on the left hand side you
will see the Church Hall and then a small church.
Turn left directly before the church into “Back Lane”, this is
the country lane that will take you to Crosthwaite.
After 1 mile you will see Low Shepherds Yeat Farm on your
right hand side (it is signposted).
